How and when do I apply for a traineeship?

All full time students reading for a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, IT or Pharmacy are eligible for an IAESTE traineeship abroad. As of 2009, applications are available online. Deadline is Friday 13 November 2009.

Jobs abroad for Maltese students are then available in February. You will submit a Preference Form to select which jobs most suit you, and students are selected with a points system. Students selected for nomination would submit their CV, list of subjects studied, a covering letter to their employer, together with any other papers required together with their nomination.

How do I know if I am accepted for my traineeship?

When we receive your nomination and CV and we see that you meet the requirements of the employer, your application is sent abroad. As soon as we know whether you have been accepted or not by the employer, we will inform you immediately. This may be any time between April - May, and also depends on when your traineeship is due to start. You are NOT allowed to contact the company until you receive official acceptance from IAESTE.
