IAESTE Xmas Party

Not going abroad these Christmas holidays? Well, you might not know it, but that might be the best thing yet. Santa will be travelling across the world early this year so as to give you the best Christmas present ever… the IAESTE Xmas Party!

On Thursday the 17^th of December, from 9pm onwards, drop by Qube, Paceville where you will find all your friends and some extremely lowered prices for drinks, and what’s better entrance is absolutely free!

And as Christmas is a time of happiness and cheer what better ways than to celebrate it with IAESTE, for of course it’s a well known fact that Christmas spirit is better drunk in shots.

Organization Week

IAESTE Wine Night

Date: 6th November 2009, at 7:30pm

Join us on the 6th of November at Pasha where you will be able to meet representatives from various companies in a casual environment, ask them anything you want about their companies and the jobs they offer and get a clearer picture of what industry wants nowadays.

What more? Well, all those who attend will be getting free wine! Who would ever have thought that you could actually have fun and find out more about your chosen career field on the same night!

IAESTE Day

Date: 22nd October 2009

Location: University of Malta

The International IAESTE Day is meant to be a day of “Global Party for Global Players”. It can serve as an annual occasion for the global promotion of IAESTE as well as for the continuation and the establishment of good relationship with companies, universities and students. This year for I-Day, as it is also called, IAESTE Malta will be promoting the IAESTE exchange program throughout the university. In the evening, then the whole committee will meet and the positions of any new members will be assigned. The new IAESTE committee members will be helped to familiarize themselves to the organization in a friendly environment.

Exchange Meeting

Date: 22nd October 2009, at 4pm

Location:  KSU Melita Common Room, University of Malta

This meeting is going to be carried out so as to inform university students from the various faculties concerned about the IAESTE exchange program. Students are told about the advantages one would gain from taking part in a traineeship abroad and are able to pose questions should they have any. The application form can be found online on this website.

Recruitment Meeting

Date: 8th October 2009, at 5pm

Location: Gateway Building Hall E, University of Malta

This meeting takes place so as to inform any students who wish to make part of the IAESTE Malta National Committee of how IAESTE works and what being a member of such committee entails. The specific requirements needed of the person taking up particular roles in the committee are emphasized. During the meeting the students may ask any questions they may have. At the end of the meeting students will then be able to apply for any available posts. Interviews will then be held during the next few days so as to assign the posts to the most competent students.

JUMP - The IAESTE Motivation and Training Seminar

Date: 30th September - 4th October 2009

Location: Radstadt, Salzburg, Austria

JUMP (Join Us to Motivate People), is an international meeting whose goal is to share IAESTE knowledge, to broaden the IAESTE network, to motivate IAESTE members and to make friends from all over the world. This is achieved by carrying out interactive working groups coordinated by experienced members. Speeches, visits and parties are also held towards this aim.

This year, the 15th motivation and training seminar JUMP will be held in the city of Radstadt (Province of Salzburg, Austria) from September, 30th to October, 4th 2009. Two members of the Maltese National Committee will be participating in this seminar. 

Fresher's Week 2009

Date: 30th September – 6th October 2009

Location: University of Malta

This year, IAESTE Malta will participate again in Freshers’ week organized by KSU. This week is used by IAESTE to promote itself and the IAESTE exchange program with the university students, be they new members or not. It is also taken as an opportunity to advertise the recruitment of new members and the other activities held by IAESTE during the following weeks.
